The LearningRx Franchise Development Team is pleased to introduce our newest franchisee, Tara Barlow! Tara will open her center in Peoria, Illinois along with her Center Director, Sara Cox. We recently sat down with Tara and Sara to hear a little bit more about their background and what drew them to LearningRx. You can check out the full interview below!
LearningRx: Tell us a little bit about your background.
Tara Barlow: I have approximately 20 years of experience working in a corporate setting and decided to pursue a business outside of the corporate world that allowed me to connect directly with families and offer them services that truly made a positive impact to their lives and lessen their stress. In 2016, I opened my first College Nannies & Tutors business, which has since evolved into Jovie and offers childcare services to families in the Peoria area.
Sara Cox: I have been focused on helping children in our community; I was previously working as a curriculum developer in early childhood. I am excited to help others in our community grow and perform!
LearningRx: What made you decide to franchise with LearningRx over other opportunities?
Tara Barlow: After owning a successful tutoring business, it was important for us to find a solution that focused on the root issues of learning. We wanted to offer a service that built confidence in our students and, more importantly, set them up for long-term success.
Sara Cox:
“I truly want to be able to give back to our community. Seeing the faces of the students and how excited they get when they have their confidence back and want to go to school warms my heart. We want to be able to reach all the students in our community.”
LearningRx: What are you most excited about in your first 90 days of business?
Tara Barlow: We are most excited to spread the word about our offering to our Central Illinois community.
Sara Cox: Just getting to connect with more families and having them be able to trust me with their child’s learning and performance. Helping the child feel more comfortable and have FUN while building their skills. Also helping my trainers grow and have fun at their job.
LearningRx: Tell us about your experience at LearningRx Franchise Training.
Tara Barlow: The franchisor family has been very supportive and helpful with our launch.
Sara Cox: Yes, I felt very supported in asking all my questions, and being able to have the tools I need to be successful is starting this new journey.
This new center is a gift, not only to the families of Peoria but to our LearningRx system as a whole. Each new franchisee brings their expertise and experience to our group and helps us to grow and refine our processes for future franchisees. We are so excited for Tara, Sara, and the whole LearningRx – Peoria crew! We can’t wait to hear about the incredible, life-changing brain training results of your students and families!
